Accounting System Support Analyst

Join our dynamic Accounting team! The Accounting Systems Support Analyst will serve as the primary subject matter expert for accounting systems, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and strategic input on enhancements and usage.

What Youâ??ll Do in this Role

• Financial Information in collaboration with Accounting teams ensures accurate delivery of financial information to timeliness, and compliance of all reporting details.
• Systems Administration & Project Leadership Serve as the departmentâ??s go-to expert for financial systems administration. Lead and support technology-related projects, including system upgrades, configuration, and integration efforts.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration Represent the Accounting department on cross-functional teams, acting as a spokesperson for financial technology needs and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Data Testing & Configuration Support Test and validate financial data during system configuration and implementation phases to ensure integrity and usability.
• Dashboard & Report Development Design, build, and maintain financial dashboards and managerial reports that provide actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders.
• Reconciliation Support Provide accurate financial data to accounting staff to support account reconciliations and timely report completion.
• Regulatory & Tax Reporting Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure proper reporting of premium taxes, federal income taxes, third-party premiums, reinsurance, and other financial obligations.
• Advanced Financial Analysis Prepare complex financial reports for rating agencies, corporate leadership, and other external entities as required.
• Audit & Examination Support Assist internal audit and regulatory examinations by preparing schedules, work papers, and participating in meetings with external auditors and state financial examiners.
• General Accounting Duties Perform miscellaneous accounting tasks and contribute to departmental initiatives as needed.

What Youâ??ll Bring to the Table

• Bachelorâ??s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field required.
• 5-7 yearsâ?? experience in an insurance, financial, or accounting concepts role required.
• Proven experience in financial systems administration and project management.
• Strong working knowledge in financial reporting tools; Excel, Tableau and data visualization software is required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills to translate business requirements into system requirements.
• Experience in Workday Financial System is a plus.
